Child protection

Children and young people practise with us only under conditions we set out in full here. Parents should know what applies before they register.

The concept

  1. 01

    Enhanced police certificate

Everyone working with minors presents the board with an erweitertes Führungszeugnis under section 30a BZRG, before the first session and every five years thereafter. The submission is documented; the certificate itself is not retained.

  2. 02

    Contact person for concerns

Until this is named you can reach the board at info@upfeurope.org; every report is answered within 48 hours.

  3. 03

    Code of conduct

All active people sign a code of conduct covering boundaries, language, physical contact and the handling of photographs. One-to-one situations out of sight of other adults do not take place.

  4. 04

    Consent to participate

Participation requires the written consent of the guardians. It covers an emergency contact, relevant health information and permission for the journey home.

  5. 05

    Consent for photographs

Separate from participation and withdrawable at any time. Without consent no image is served — the clearance is a property in the source code, not an intention.

  6. 06

    Procedure on suspicion

Note the observation, do not question the child yourself, inform the contact person without delay, involve a specialist counsellor and, where warranted, the youth welfare office. Protecting the child takes precedence over the reputation of the association.

  7. 07

    Training

Everyone active in work with children and young people attends child protection training annually. Attendance is documented.
