Image rights and consent
We publish no photograph of an identifiable person without a lawful basis. That is enforced in the source code, not only promised.
Consent list in the source code
Every photograph of an identifiable person is recorded in a single data list and carries the property consentOnFile. Where it is false the image is not served; a monogram or a visible notice appears instead. When the pages are built, a log records which photographs were withheld.
Consent of adults
Consent is obtained in writing and tied to a purpose: the association's website, programme reports, press enquiries. It is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time without disadvantage.
Consent for minors
For minors the guardians give consent, separately from consent to participate. From about the age of 14 we also ask the young person themselves. Without both parts no image appears.
Withdrawal
A message to info@upfeurope.org is enough. We remove the image from the website and from future publications without asking why. Already printed material cannot be recalled; we say so before consent is given.
Photography at events
Where photographs are taken, it is announced at the entrance and in the invitation. Every event has an area in which no photographs are taken. We treat wide shots without identifiable individuals with restraint all the same.
Origin of the images
All photographs come from the association's own work. We use no stock photography of people and no AI-generated depictions of people. All files sit on our own server; no image is loaded from another domain.
