Accessibility statement

Standard aimed for

Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, conformance level AA, in conjunction with EN 301 549. Assessment is by self-evaluation: keyboard operation, contrast measurement in light and dark appearance, testing with a screen reader and checking at 200 per cent zoom.

What is in place

A skip link to the content, full keyboard operability with a visible focus indicator, one h1 per page and correct heading order, labels and error messages in forms that say how to fix the problem, text alternatives for all meaningful images, contrast of at least 4.5:1 for text in both appearances, full support for prefers-reduced-motion, and text that can be enlarged without loss of content.

Known limitations

PDF files supplied on request, in particular the statutes and the child protection concept, are not yet tagged and are therefore not fully accessible. On request we send the content as plain text.

The static sketch map replaces an interactive map; the route description sits beside it as text.

Reporting a barrier

If you encounter a barrier, write to info@upfeurope.org with the page concerned and, if possible, the technology you use. We reply within two weeks and name a date for the fix. On request we provide the content in an accessible form.

Enforcement procedure

If our reply does not satisfy you, you can turn to the conciliation body under the German Disability Equality Act (Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz).
